Tips and common rejection reasons

  • The name on every file must match the passport exactly.
  • A blurry, cropped, or glare-covered scan is a common reason a file is sent back.
  • Check the passport expiry against this destination before you pay. Many countries expect at least 6 months of validity, and some use a different rule.
  • The embassy or government decides the application. We do not guarantee approval.
  • Passport validity is shorter than the destination requires.
  • The photo shows glasses, a shadow, or a busy background.
  • The date of birth or the spelling of the name does not match the passport.
  • A supporting visa or residence card was required and was missing or expired.
  • A detail in the form does not match the passport.

The embassy or government decides. We do not guarantee approval.

Policy notes

Fees paid in AED at consulate (often cash on collection). Indian preferential fee AED 20.

If plans change

Before we submit the file, ask us about a refund of the online payment. After we submit it, the government fee is not refundable. A refusal does not refund the government fee. The full wording is in our refund policy.
